The Pussyfooters marching club is a diverse group of women in New Orleans working to inspire & empower women from all walks of life, fostering a culture of inclusivity, resilience, and community. We dance to inspire, uplift, and unite our community and encourage our members to grow their self-confidence and foster new friendships. We aim to align ourselves with charitable organizations that allow us to carry out our mission thru service to our community. 

Our signature annual fundraising event is the Blush Ball, a Mardi Gras season kickoff party to raise money for the METRO Centers for Community Advocacy. This organization has been serving our community since 1986. The first Blush Ball was held in 2006 and the Pussyfooters are very proud to have donated a record breaking $66,000 in 2024 to METRO.
